Day 3: Full day Baku City tour
Breakfast Start Baku City tour Visit to Old city of Baku and having a trip around the city walls, discover rare monuments which list to UNESCO World Heritage List-Maiden tower, Karavansarays. The historical core of Baku, the capital of Azerbaijan. The Old City is the most ancient part of Baku, which is surrounded by walls which were easily defended. In 2007, the Old City had a population of about 3000 people. In December 2000, the Old City of Baku, including the Palace of the Shirvanshahs and Maiden Tower, became the first location in Overnight in Baku Overnight in Baku Azerbaijan to be classified as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Miniature book museum is the only museum of miniature books in the world, settled in the old part of Baku, called Inner City. The museum started its operation on April 2, 2002. In 2015 the Museum of Miniature Books was presented the Certificate of the Guinness Book of Records as the largest private museum of miniature books. Juma mosque was built in the 12th century. A sophisticated design of the Mosque shows that it was built in several stages. Its main parts are a worship hall in the southern part and minarets in the north. There are small yards between the worship hall and the minarets. The most ancient part of the mosque is a square-shaped worship room. The room resembles kiosk mosques of the Seljuk period. Baku Boulevard- established in 1909 runs parallel to Baku's seafront. Its history goes back more than 100 years, to a time when Baku oil barons built their mansions along the Caspian shore and when the seafront was artificially built up inch by inch. Carpet Museum Little Venice- The Little Venice in Baku is the great & clean refreshing park to walk and relax with kids or the family. Very beautiful & astonishing surroundings. Feels like you are away from city yet in the city. Unique & lovely relaxing atmosphere. You can take a ride in gandolas (venetian boats), take the pictures, and just enjoy the trip. Visit to Upland Park for panoramic view to the city-The highland park Baku is the highest point of the capital of Azerbaijan, from where a beautiful panorama of the city and the bay opens. People from Baku and tourists often come here to see Baku from a bird’s eye view, as well as just take a walk. Overnight in Baku
Day 4: Qobustan tour
Breakfast Start Qobustan tour Qobustan -Gobustan State Reserve located west of the settlement of Gobustan, about 40 miles southwest of the centre of Baku was established in 1966 when the region was declared as a national historical landmark of Azerbaijan in an attempt to preserve the ancient carvings, mud volcanoes and gas-stones in the region.Gobustan State Reserve is very rich in archeological monuments, the reserve has more than 6,000 rock carvings, which depict primitive people, animals, battle-pieces, ritual dances, bullfights, boats with armed oarsmen, warriors with lances in their hands, camel caravans, pictures of sun and stars, on the average dating back to 5,000 20,000 years.Gobustan State Historical and Cultural Reserve acquired national status in 2006. As a part of the 31St Session of the UNESCO World Legacy Committee held in Christchurch, New Zealand on June 23 - July 2, 2007 included within the World Social Legacy List. Mud Volcano-Azerbaijan has the most mud volcanoes of any country, spread broadly across the country. 350 of the 800 volcanoes of the world are in the Azerbaijani Republic. Local people call them “yanardagh” (burning mountain), “pilpila” (terrace),“gaynacha” (boiling water) and “bozdag” (grey mountain) alongside its geographical name – mud volcanoes. First drilled oil well-The world's first-ever mechanically drilled oil well (World's First Oil Well) in 1846, located in the Bibi-Heybat settlement 10 kilometers west of Baku. The well Overnight in Baku produced the first gush of oil in 1847 and was just 21 meters deep at that time. Bibiheybat Mosque- is a historical mosque in Baku, Azerbaijan. The existing structure, built in the 1990s, is a recreation of the mosque with the same name built in the 13th century by Shirvanshah Farrukhzad II which was completely destroyed by the Bolsheviks in 1936.
